With: Pascale Rochat, Christine Gremlich, Pia Aepli and Cala Bongni-Spence Opening: Thursday October 4th, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. Cala Bongni-Spence Cala Bongni-Spence's Caribbean origins inspire her to create colorful pictures that she paints in oil, watercolor and acrylic. She expresses her interest in people with preference in portrait and nude painting. The artist, who has been working freelance since 2009, also creates natural subjects and symbolic images in her own studio. At my first exhibition, it took a bit of courage to bring my inner world to the public. Since it was also a new situation for the other artists, we were able to support and motivate each other. Even then, my brushstrokes and style were clearly evident, as organic shapes and nature-related subjects always caught my attention. Most of my works of art are rather colorful, often with complementary color accents. From the beginning, I wanted to bring joy to people with my art. |
