The title "Colours of Jamaica" sums it up. As a bridge builder, two hearts beat in my chest. My place of origin, Jamaica, and my second home, Switzerland. With this exhibition, I wanted to invite visitors to the island where I was born to catch a bit of the sea breeze. The picturesque Seerose Castle in Horgen is idyllically situated on the lake, which somewhat absorbs the Caribbean atmosphere. The enchanting interior fascinated every aesthete. The spacious rooms, decorated with Caribbean works of art, invited everyone to linger and enjoy. Three characteristic pictures, "Ginger Flower", "Juicy Coconut" and "Healing Plant", opened the vernissage and conveyed the warm, illuminating sun power of the Caribbean. At the vernissage, we were accompanied by enchanting piano sounds. The fantastic view of Lake Zurich, framed by a pretty garden park, completed the exhibition. |
